The Most Dangerous Beach

Maho Beach on the island of St. Martin's fully fit the description of the perfect beach - white sand, turquoise water, waves, palm trees. but there is a BUT - it is located near Princess Juliana Airport - one of the largest transport hubs in the Caribbean and among the ten most dangerous airports in the world. The runway here quite brief (only 2180 meters), so planes fly over the beach (and on the tourists) at a height of 10-20 meters only!

Crowds of tourists come to this extreme beach to experience the full power of an aircraft engine - Jet. Not to miss the next plane arrives on the island in front of the beach exposed plate with the schedule. While on the other hand Maho beach perfect venue arrivals. And if the flight is delayed you can while away the time under the umbrella right near the airport.
